in florida prior to that debate. now he is ahead. in virginia, governor romney leading the president 49 to 48%. along with more voters, we saw an interesting tweet from former howard dean campaign manager joe trippi. he wrote that 20 minutes into the debate, gop online voter registration doubled above normal. and it is still at that pace. he said that at 6:00 p.m. eastern yesterday. citing a democratic source. joining me now is laura ingle. he didn't want to get too specific, he's a democrat saying that the registrations are going way up for these republicans in the wake of what we saw on wednesday night. and that you have other republicans who are saying it truly was a game changing moment. >> i think that's right, and i think the rasmussen poll and the new donations for the romney campaign every two seconds -- all of this adds up to a sizable momentum shift in the collection. megyn, i think beginning last week in california, you can vote -- register to vote online. they are really pushing that. democrats really like online voter registration. because i think they believed it would help them

reverberating with a shock wave of the romney victory in last night's presidential debate in denver. dominating throughout, governor romney may well have turned the race for the white house, an entirely new and unexpected direction. president obama is tonight seemingly less the object of sympathy than the target of harsh criticism from left wing of luminaries upset with his lackluster and at times seemingly detached performance. the new york times today wrote, there are two more chances for the president to change tactics were to at least show up to the debate. president xanax just doesn't cut it. the "washington post" has written, if the obama campaign was worried about them is being overconfident going into the final stretch, tonight should allay those fears. chris matthews wind, where was obama tonight? well, his nbc colleague ed schultz admitted he was absolutely stunned by the president's dismal performance. michael moore tweeted, is bill clinton coming into some? wakeup. john mccain. the republican national committee seized on governor romney's dominance in the evening sky and the preside

are still on fir tonight about the debate last night. >> obama came off even worse in his debate with romney last night than he did in his debate with clint eastwood. >> by the time michelle gets finished with him last night and this morning... [chuckles] -- you can get your life, obama is not going to sleep at the wheel again. >> you had no record to run on, it's very difficult for the incumbent to come out and combat with governor romney. mitt romney hit a knockout last night. >> what the people saw last night was the real mitt romney, contrast that with a president that seemed -- not seem audio that was uninformed, detached and demonstrated that he had been lazy and disengaged. >> he is president of the united states. just what the hell does he have to prep? what the hell is going on that he doesn't know about? that he has to cram and learn? >> everything that came across in the debate left us with this ending, that the person who looked most presidential, most informed on the economy and the strongest coming out of last night was mitt romney, not our very own president. >> he was distrac

recovery either. stuart: okay, governor romney in the debate looked right into the camera and he gave his five point plan. i'm sure you were watching, i'm sure you heard it. what do you think about his plan for growth, growing the economy? >> it's more than doable. in fact, you know, if you look, his effort to try to create 12 million new jobs, the truth is, if this president's recovery was just average, 4 million more people would be going to work rather than looking for work. if it had been a reagan level recovery, more than 6 million people would be going back to work. so, what governor romney is proposing as a recipe for economic growth, i think, not only will work, but will hit the numbers he believes it will. stuart: all right. kevin brady, republican congressman, thanks as always for joining us, thank you very much indeed, sir. >> thank you, stuart. stuart: i'm just going to repeat some of the numbers we received about an hour and five minutes ago. important numbers that are raising a lot of questions this morning. number one, the unemployment rate came down to 7.8%, number two, we

. . >>> another winning week for stocks. between today's positive jobs report and romney's ace debate, the dow added 173 points to the plus side for the week. so let's talk. fellas, i want to get to the second story, too, but give me some lightning round stuff. jim you' jim, was there a mitt romney lightning round? >> i think there was a bit of a rally. but that failed from the old bernanke high as couple weeks ago but it lost some steam. >> jim, is will a fed qe3 rally going on. i know we like to talk politics, politics can affect stocks. is the fed pump priming still putting wind behind the stock market? >> absolutely. look, the biggest correlation we can find with the market in anything over the last four years is quantitative easing. now there's a lot of rumors out that qe4 is coming because the fed is worried about the fiscal cliff. so, yes, it's a manipulated market and this is why the market has rallied more than anything else. >> you can't have qe4 because qe3 is in perpetuity. they would just pump more. jim iurio, was there a jobs controversy today with the 7.8 unemployment rate? is i

's presidential debate. in just a moment, i will be joined for an exclusive interview by both governor romney and his runningmate, congressman paul ryan. even the most left-wing observers have conceded that their candzidate bombed without his teleprompter last night. obama aides are trying to pin it all on mitt romney. believe it or not, they are accusing the governor of lying. of course, they are the ones that are. watch this. >> again and again and again, he told the story to the american people that is completely... in contrast with what he said before and unfounded in fact. and that's going to catch up with him. i give him credit for strong performance. i give him an "f" for being honest with the american people. >> sean: for 90 minutes, president obama lied about his record and president obama lied about what he would do in a second term. you want proof? here it is. >> if you want to be president, you owe the american people the truth, the truth. >> the fact check. >> this claim is based on a fiscal fiction. >> the bipartisan nonprofit committee has called that a gimmick. the president i

't figure out what mr. romney so eloquently said in that debate. talking about politics of the 1% or the 47%, conservatives want the best for all folks, and yes, we mean thewe don't want them trapped in poverty. we want them married, paying their taxes -- host: we will get katrina vanden heuvel's response. guest: yeah. listen, if marriage will promote the well-being of the couple, children, great. but in my mind, it is and not just that. that is too simplistic. it is part of the equation. without good jobs, without ensuring that workers have rights and a time -- at the time when big business is so powerful, without doing small things that happened around this country but have taken too much effort, giving women, families early child care, the sense of a community coming together to lift up families, marriages not sufficient. to reduce it to that is too simplistic. no one is saying marriage isn't important. it is not the only a factor in building a family that is doing well. the fact that jobs to date are low-paying is a terrible problem, and i would link this to the poverty issue. we have a
